One year ago, Beirut Marathon closed its doors & it broke our hearts.
And one month ago, Beirut shut down & that broke our souls.
Beirut, you have been our home, our shelter, & in one day, in less than a minute, you underwent the most horrifying incident imaginable.
Beirut I am sorry. I am sorry you had to go through this & I am sorry we couldn’t prevent it.
Citizens of Lebanon, I salute you for your selfless efforts, your devotion towards our home, my home.
A month ago, Beirut Marathon decided not to stay on the sidelines, so we picked ourselves up, came back together & we promise you Beirut, we will run again for YOU
